Representing Labor Unions
Our practice is built around representing labor Unions. We represent labor Unions across the full spectrum of private and public sector employment. Our representation has extended to labor organizations operating under state labor law as well as federal labor law (National Labor Relations Act, Railway Labor Act and Federal Labor Relations Act), in a number of different industries. We represent a number of different Unions in every aspect of their operations. Our firm provides counseling in the traditional areas of labor relations. We represent labor Unions in collective bargaining negotiations, grievance processing and labor arbitration, as well as administrative practice before various federal and state agencies and all types of civil litigation involving Unions. We also provide guidance in the day-to-day operation of our Union clients, both in terms of compliance with federal and state laws and in providing opportunities for the Unions to operate more effectively and efficiently.
Our goal is to provide legal representation that maximizes the potential for each labor organization to succeed in its avowed goals of effectively representing their members and organizing the unorganized. We are committed to exploring new and dynamic ways to use technology to bring working-class values into the 21st century workplace.
For employees seeking guidance when faced with loss of employment, we offer guidance in reviewing and negotiating separation agreements, releases and severance packages. We have represented employees in cases involving unemployment compensation benefits. Employees in these proceedings can rely on our experience to obtain the optimum results.
In the event that employees find that they need litigation-style representation, we are able to direct them to other employee-friendly law firms who practice in the litigation realm.
